Hello, just a quick question concerning exporting to PDF. Are the different fonts used automatically embedded in the exported file? I have been asked this question by a printing company. Thanks

If in Export as PDF, on the General tab of the Export dialog, you select PDF/A-1a, the fonts should be embedded. It may be best to submit a short sample drawing to the printers so that they can ascertain that the fonts are available to them.
Edit: they don't have to print the test file - they should know if it will work by a brief inspection.

You can embed those fonts what are:
Free,
Open Source, or
the licence of the font allow you to embed them. Do not use commercial fonts in this case if the receiver have not SAME fonts.

It seems that AOO embeds all fonts in ordinary PDF files irrespective of whether you do or do not tick the Embed fonts tick box when you go File > Export as PDF.

Open any PDF with Adobe Reader and go File > Properties > Fonts ..., to see which fonts are embedded.
