convert Tex to OpenOffice

Post by kanti »

Hello,

My problem:
I need something to convert a tex Document into a Open Office Document.
Is that possible with the api from Open Office. (e.g. Uno or something else?)

Thank you,

OOo can export LaTeX but not import it (as far as I know).

I'm not sure what formats common to both TeX and OOo are available. TeX (well LaTeX) can produce very good HTML output, and OOo can import HTML, so your best bet may be to convert the TeX to html, then import that into OOo.

In the end, I think you're going to have to do a lot of manual clean-up, no matter what you do.
