Windows 10 installer is no longer responding update 4.1.15

Post by Don-West »

Back in Aug 2022, I had a problem installing the update from 4.1.11 to 4.1.12. (See:viewtopic.php?p=527262#p527262).

Eventually, I downloaded 4.1.12 from the Microsoft Store and was able to install it.

Strangely, I was able to update from 4.1.12 to 4.1.13 and .14.
But the same problem has arisen with 4.1.15.

I cannot remember if I had to uninstall 4.1.11 in order to install 4.1.12.

I would like to know if I will lose any documents or spreadsheets if I uninstall 4.1.14 and then install 4.1.15.

Thank you,
Don West

You won't lose documents, they are not in anyway involved in uninstalls or (new) installs.

That said you would be well to consider switching from OpenOffice to LibreOffice. There are several good reasons for doing so some of which are mentioned here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information
Windows 10 Pro. x64
LibreOffice (Still) 7.6.5.2 (x64) Fully installed to system
LibreOffice (Still) Portable 7.6.5.2 (x86) [PortableApps]

Your documents will be in the folders in which they were originally Saved. They may not (will not) show up on OpenOffice's /File /Recent Documents list id shortcuts until you reopen them with the new installation.
