[Solved] User experience: OpenOffice 4.1.7 on MacOS 13.5

I upgraded from MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave, 2018) to MacOS 13.5 (Ventura, 2022). The process took about 45 minutes. I did not upgrade OpenOffice or Java.
• OpenOffice 4.1.7 launched with no difficulty.
• Saved documents open with no difficulty.
• Documents protected by password (File → Save As → Save with password) open with no difficulty.
• My "Favorites" extension continues to work as expected.
