Hello,
I have a scenario in which I want to restrict Open Office docs to open only in Open Office not in MS Office.
If there is a way or extension by which I can achieve this then, that would be very helpful.

Not that I am aware of.

Edit: Because OpenOffice uses a different encryption method to MS Office, perhaps Passwording the files might be a method. The password should work on OpenOffice and fail on MS Office. |

Re: Restrict OpenOffice Docs
That would require some admin tweak that forbids the Windows registry to be changed for those file extensions, when opened though the desktop management process (Windows explorer or default application when launched from another application like attachments in mail).
However, not sure you can prevent opening MS Office first and then from there opening the ODF file.
