Hello, I have a problem after updating to the latest version of Libre Office. In the past, when I copied text from some website and pasted it into calc, it transferred it as plain text without formatting.
Currently pastes all formatting from the target page. Of course I can do ctrl + shift + v - but it makes no sense.
Is it possible to turn this off so that it always pastes no formatting, only the default text?
In the new version it's broken, I don't know why or how to turn it off.

Re: CALC pastes formatting into cells
The result of paste depends on what content was copied by your browser from the website to the clipboard. Some pages don't contain formatting that Calc can understand. In that case, Calc just pastes the text. Other pages contain formatting that Calc understands. In that case Calc pastes both the formatting and the text. Unless you are an expert in web browser technology it is impossible for you to tell whether the page contains formatting that Calc will paste. A page may appear to be the same as it was earlier even though the underlying content that Copy will access is quite different.
In general it is best to not paste the formatting because you can't tell what formatting will be pasted into your cells. An easy way to avoid pasting the formatting is to record the Paste Unformatted macro, assign a keyboard shortcut, then use the shortcut to paste from web pages. I do this many times a week to paste data but not formatting.

Re: CALC pastes formatting into cells
The behaviour has indeed been changed with the latest version of LibreOffice (24.2).
When pasting after the cell has been put in edit mode (F2), pasting used to be unformatted by default. Now also the formatting is pasted.
Instead of using Ctrl+Shift+V, pasted formatting can be removed with Ctrl+M afterwards for the cells with unwanted formatting if they don't have direct formatting.

Re: CALC pastes formatting into cells
Pasting formatting is a huge problem for me. Even if you undo changes Ctrl + M - or another method. This is often a cell that has been broken up by some additional space or space.
Is it possible to turn off this transfer of formatting? - it makes my work extremely difficult.
It's terrible that he forces himself to do such things if he has no choice. For me, the work now takes three times longer than before due to these formatting transfers.

Is it possible to disable this pasting formatting so that the pasted text is always formatted without formatting?

You should be able to change the shortcut with the Customize toolbar menu:
🖉 button if your issue has been fixed.
Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the LibreOffice 24.8 on Xubuntu 24.10 and 24.8 portable on Windows 10
