Thanks in advance...

Re: No windows button on taskbar - unable to freeze rows/columns
The control of freezing or splitting the view of a Calc document is done through the WIndow menu, not a button. Do you not see the Window menu item near the top of the screen?

MacOS does not have a taskbar. Mac FAQ Q11/A11: What happened to my menu bar (OpenOffice, File, Edit, etc.)?coachdaniel52 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 3:26 pm I have … no list of options above them like I see on the videos
Those are OpenOffice toolbar buttons, not the MacOS menu bar. Read what Apple says: To stop using the app full screen …coachdaniel52 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 3:26 pm I have nearly all the buttons visible and there are two rows of them,
If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit ☐ button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

Re: No windows button on taskbar - unable to freeze rows/columns
There is no WINDOW button on top of screen anywhere, no menu bar like in the videos I have seen.
There are two rows of buttons that are enabled but no menu bar.

Then can you upload a screenshot of what your screen looks like?
See How to attach a document here). Crop your screenshot so that it takes less than 128KBi.
Here is my menu in LibreOffice:

Re: No windows button on taskbar - unable to freeze rows/columns
Its actually pretty straight forward... there is no menu listing on the top of the window like yours = File View Insert Format Styles Sheet Data Tools
I have used the freeze function on LIbreOffice, and Google spreadsheets so am familiar with the process you speak of.
But there is nowhere to "view" or click on a drop down menu from a "window" button. ITs simply not there, but the two rows of other functions are there.
Thanks

Re: No windows button on taskbar - unable to freeze rows/columns
You haven't (inadvertently?) placed OpenOffice in full screen mode as mentioned in the link MrProgrammer provided above?

Have you tried to reset your OpenOffice user profile?

Please share a Screenshot of your screen. Maybe someone has an idea, what you are looking at - even, if we don't use a Mac... (If I'm remembering right, menus were at the top of the screen outside the actual window of the application?)coachdaniel52 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 1:12 am ...
