In the Mac version of OpenOffice the dialog box buttons are very hard to read because the background color is a dark blue and the button text is black. The lack of contrast between the two makes reading the button descriptions very difficult.
After reading a lot of posts in the forum it sounds like there is no plan on changing this or making the button colors optional. It sounds like the only solution offered so far is to change systemwide settings on the Mac, which isn't really a viable fix.
Are there any plans to either alter the button colors or make the button colors optional? Thanks!

Yes, I've read all those. Adjusting contrast systemwide on my computer because one app chose crappy colors for the buttons really isn't a solution.

Well, there you are then! I cannot choose a compromise for you.

That's the problem with free software. You get what you pay for and there's not much of a reason for the authors to be responsive.
Enough people have complained about this for a while so it looks like this issue is not going to be addressed.

Not on AOO but you may be better heard with LO.
I'm sure a lot of Mac users would support this enhancement: [Tutorial] Reporting bugs or suggestions.
Note that the question on the asklibreoffice site has been closed but it is a mere workaround, it's not really an answer. They should add a link to an enhancement request.

But as said, LO does no better for this issue.Villeroy wrote:takoateli wrote:https://www.libreoffice.org/discover/li ... penoffice/
However, opening a bug report is more likely to be fixed with LO than with AOO.
