[Solved] Connection to data source could not be established.

Post by the ber »

When I try to open an existing split database in Kubuntu 17.10, Kubuntu 18.04, or Debian Sid, I get the above error message. The next line in the message is "The driver class 'org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver' could not be loaded."
The driver class path that Base is looking for is not the path where the file is actually stored; it is the file where the database was first created, be it on a Windows machine or a different Linux location.
If I open the file using Arch Linux, then the hsqldb:file path is correct, and the database opens. However Arch Linux no longer provides the Oracle Report Builder, so it's not very useful to me anymore.
Is there a file that I can edit so that Debian and Co. can find the database correctly?
