Hi everyone,
I'm rather new in OOo Writer please help me with these two questions:
1. How can I change a formula's font?
2. How can I write an identity matrix symbol ( a 1 in double struck letter form )?
thanks.

Re: How to??????
You may want to ask this in the Math forum rather than the Writer.chp380 wrote:Hi everyone,

1 However I think you can make changes to font etc by selecting the math block and going to Format.
2 No idea

See here how to change the setup for Math objects and how to insert a symbol:chp380 wrote:Hi everyone,

Specifically, a 2x2 identity matrix could be ...
Code: Select all
left [ matrix{bold 1 # 0 ## 0 # bold 1} right ]

Re: Formula font & identity matrix symbol
1. While editing the formula go to Format/Fonts and click on "Modify" and choose the type of character that you want to change. Then choose the font you want. Done.
2. Don't know what you mean by 'double struck letter form' but here's the way I would do a symbolic version of a unit matrix:
"bold hat 1". Many texts would simply do "bold 1" but in my writing I like to differentiate matrices from vectors and other entities.
